Original Design
Your artist builds the piece from your ideas and references, so no two tattoos come out exactly alike.
Whether you arrive with a fully formed idea or just a spark of inspiration, our artists will work with you to create an original design made for your body, your story, and your style. Old Town Tattoo has been tattooing in Old Town Saginaw for over 30 years.
A custom tattoo is drawn for you, not pulled from a binder. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Your artist builds the piece from your ideas and references, so no two tattoos come out exactly alike.
Size, flow, and detail are planned around where the tattoo will live on your body and how it will age.
Share what the tattoo means, show reference images, and your artist will guide the composition and style.
You do not need a finished drawing. Many clients start with a single image, a memory, a symbol, or a feeling. During your appointment, your artist talks through the concept, suggests ways to strengthen the composition, and recommends a size and placement that work.
Our artists each bring their own strengths. Browse the portfolios of Goose and Pat to see which approach matches the tattoo you have in mind, then request that artist when you book.
Larger or more detailed custom pieces may take more than one session. Your artist will talk through what is realistic before you commit. If you are working around an existing tattoo, see our cover-up and rework page.
Tip: Share your idea early. The more your artist knows about what you want, the more time there is to get the design right before your session.
Tell us your idea, placement, and size, and send any reference images with your booking request.
Your artist develops a design around your concept and talks through any changes with you.
